Level II Alcohol and Drug Classes

When you go to court for a DUI charge, the court will likely require that you complete alcohol classes for your DUI. Most times this will be known as Level II education classes. Having these completed before your court date is recommended when possible, and can work in your favor when you go to court.

Level II alcohol and drug classes are designed by the government and sanctioned by the government. This is the first phase of alcohol treatment for people charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Drugs, or Both and also for Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol, Drugs, or Both.

Level II Alcohol and drug classes are offered by “Treatment Providers” authorized by the State of Colorado to teach the course. Level II Education is offered throughout the state of Colorado so to find a course near your, just Google Level II Education and your zip code.

Level II alcohol and drug classes are a twelve (12) week course of two hour blocks each week for 12 weeks. It is the first phase of treatment in Colorado. Whether you need to complete additional therapy is up to the Court and Probation. The value of starting this education early is the prosecutor and the Judge both see that you are working towards making sure you do not drink and drive again and that is a valuable message to convey.
